Parrot 4.9 Released: With some Improvements and Security Fixes
The People who are interested in ethical hacking then they should check out Parrot 4.9,the latest release of parrot operating system, which offers some improvement and some of the security bug fixes. Parrot is based on Debian's testing branch (Bullseye), with a linux 5.5 kernel. It follow rolling release model.A community driven project has released a newer version 4.9 of it's parrot operating system which focuses on security. Parrot has some of the minor bug if ts compares with the older version 4.8 it has also update some several component. Another major improvement in the parrot 4.9 release is a new installer which is based on Calamares, the universal installer framework used by numerous GNU/Linux distribution, Lubantu, Manjaro or KaOS.
Being built on top of the Debian, the newer verion contain several changes and bug fixes from the upstream provider. A major highlight is that they have remove many of python 2 libraries and tools due to the depreciation and lifecycle ending of the python 2. Parrot 4.9 removes many abandoned pentest tools based on python 2.

What's new in Parrot 4.9 Release:
Parrot Security OS 4.9 ship with the Linux 5.5 kernel series that introduces more compatible hardware support, fixes a lot of Wi-Fi and Intel CPU bugs, and introduces support to new hardware that wasn't supported before. It also has some security enhancements.
Updates In Parrot 4.9 :
- They have Fix brisk menu.
- Improved menu structure.
- Fix some icon from Security tool
- Removed Redundant Launchers.
How To Install or Upgrade To Parrot 4.9?
Parrot OS is a rolling release distribution. It basically means once you install parrot, you only need to update you package to reach new version.
If you already using Parrot, Upgrade your existing system by running the following commands. A single commands and then you get Parrot 4.9
sudo parrot-upgrade
OR
sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade
Lastly, all the software update and security patches that are part of the Debian 10 buster have also been incorporated.
