Hacking attacks are dramatically increased amid the Coronavirus pendemic. A report by the Washington post reveals that almost  25000 email addresses and passwords has been hacked and published online on the underground forums. Those email Id and and passwords are belonging to the National Institute of Health (NIH), the Center of Diseases Control and Prevention (CDC) the World Health Organisation and the Gates foundation among other have been hacked.

The Washington Post said that the unknown activists posted around 25000 email addresses and passwords online that was found by the site intelligence group. An Australian Cyber Security Expert said that he could verify some of the ID's and passwords are from WHO.

WHO confirmed the incident  in a statement Wednesday that cited a higher number of exposed credentials, about 6,835 that had been reported by site. but WHO said only 457 of those were active and valid , and none of those are compromised. " As a precaution, passwords have been resets for the 457 users whose email were exposed.

The Data leak was first conformed by the SITE intelligence Group, which monitor and analyzes the dark web for cyber security threats from online extremist and terrorist groups. The report from the SITE says that the NIH was the worst affected with 9,938 leaked emails addressees passwords, followed by the Centers for Disease control and Prevention at 6,857. Similarly, the World Bank had , 5,120, and WHO had 2,732 employee email credentials being leaked. SITE also that data dump carries email addresses and passwords of a virology center in Wuhan, which has been at the center of many conspiracy theories related to the on going pandemic.
