Google is Preparing to Implement end-to-end Encryption in  Their RCS  Messages.

Google a Tech Giant company is Working to add end-to-end Encryption for its text message replacement, Rich Communication Services (RSC) in Google Messages According to 9to5 Google.

An Internal Built of Google Messages v 6.2 has several lines of code that offer clues to possible future features for the app, including 12 new strings that refer to encryption. Google in December launched an update for android Message app that makes sms more likely texting on iPhone for the users in the US.

What is RCS ?

Google is Preparing to Implement end-to-end Encryption in  Their RCS  Messages.

The RCS (Rich Communication Services) Protocol-popularly known as chat-is the successor to SMS messaging and does what the most other texting services do but without the end-to-end encryption of Apps like Signal. In December 2019 digital trends did a nice, deep dive into the protocol. explaining why its been developed by the mobile phone manufacturer, carriers and the cell phone industry governing agencies, as well as all going to love it way more than blah SMS texting we now have. 

People Who is not aware about Rich Communication Services (RCS) is a new online protocol between mobile-telephone carriers and between phone and carrier that aims to replace current texting standard SMS while a text message system that richer and can transmit in-call multimedia.

 To make conversations more seamless, Google has been working on upgrading traditional SMS text messaging with more useful chat features, powered by RCS.

Currently, it is unclear when Google plans to roll out the end-to-end encryption features to RCS in it Messaging App. In the Past the company has mentioned that it is working on it, which means we can except the features to roll out shortly.
